Active Parenting Canada is the sister company of Active Parenting Publishers, Inc. which has been providing award-winning, video-based parenting classes for helping professionals since 1983. Founded by Dr. Michael H. Popkin, our evidence-based programs offer new ways to help families survive and thrive in our changing world. Topics include parenting of all ages and stages, stepparenting, divorce, school success, character education, raising children in a changing world, the role of parents, and more. Active Parenting Canada has been in providing support to parent educator and parents since 2013, APC is a social enterprise of Family Services of Central Alberta based out of Red Deer, AB.

Being a “successful parent” means more than providing food, clothing, and shelter. It requires taking an active role in a child’s growth and development, and an active approach to parenting.
Active Parenting: First Five Years
This new curriculum addresses basic parenting skills for babies and young children, including non-violent discipline and school readines. Perfect for new parents and early childhood staff training.
Active Parenting 4th Edition
Helps parents raise responsible children (ages 5 to 12) who are able to resist negative peer pressure. Demonstrates non-violent discipline and effecive communication skills.
Active Parenting of Teens
Includes the essential Active Parenting model, plus discussions about technology, the latest in teen drug use prevention, teen bullying, and special attention to stepfamilies.
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce
Helps divorcing parents learn to shield their children from parental conflict while establishing a positive new relationship as a co-parent
