Research on this program was published in the Journal of Drug Education and the Journal of Primary Prevention. Families in Action is listed in the OJJDP Model Programs Guide, CrimeSolutions.gov, the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC), and NREPP.
This program is a thorough revision of the original Families in Action program, including closed-captioned video filmed in 2012. We kept the best of the original while adding new content addressing issues that are relevant to today’s teens and parents, including drugs, sexuality, and violence.
