The latest edition of our best-selling program is here! Active Parenting 4th Edition (AP4) has been thoroughly revised and updated for 2014, including all-new video, more convenient parent’s guides, and a new emphasis on hot topics. It’s an evidence-based program that is proven to help parents in their most important job.
Valuable skills to bring back the joy of parenting
Active Parenting 4th Edition contains the essential Active Parenting model that has benefited millions of families in the past 30 years: encouragement, communication, and non-violent discipline. With this edition, we’ve added content for today’s parents, including bullying, school success, and drug prevention. There is new optional information for parents of special needs children.
More flexible than ever
The Active Parenting 4th Edition program is designed for a class of 3, 4, or 6 sessions lasting 2 hours each. The unit on parent involvement can even stand alone as a 1-night presentation. We’ve also provided an optional 30-minute addition to each session called “AP and You” that helps parents apply their new skills at work and at home.
Easy to lead
As always, the new Active Parenting 4th Edition kit contains materials for a lively class filled with video, activities, and discussion. The Leader’s Guide gives step-by-step instructions. NEW: Parents get in-depth info from the Parent’s Guide and skills practice in their Parent’s Workbook. NEW: the video is also available embedded in a PowerPoint for those who lead the class using a laptop.
